The Costa Blanca is so called because of its remarkably luminous skies and the long, white sandy beaches which extend over most of its coastline. It is also reputed to enjoy the healthiest climate in Europe with lots of sunshine, mild temperatures and low humidity.

There are many villages, towns and cities along the Costa, each with its own personality and charm. Life is never boring along the Costa as there are fiestas and celebrations all year round such as Alicante's Hogueras, Alcoy's Moors and Christians and Torrevieja's Sevillanas to name but a few.

Life is not just limited to the coast though and inland towns such as Elche, Alcoy and Orihuela have a very rich historic and cultural background and many sights and activities to offer travellers and residents.
